Cookie Policy

Last updated June 13, 2026

Cookies keep you signed in and your payments secure. We use only a handful, we don’t use them to advertise to you, and we don’t track you across other websites. Here’s the full picture.

In plain language

We use cookies to sign you in, keep your account secure, and remember a few preferences. We don’t use advertising cookies and we don’t sell your data. You can clear or block cookies any time — though signing in needs the essential ones.

1 What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember things between requests and visits — for example, that you’re signed in. Some related technologies (like browser local storage) work similarly; where this policy says “cookies,” we mean cookies and those similar technologies together.

2 How Tabulox uses cookies

We keep our use of cookies deliberately small. They exist to run the core of the product — signing you in, keeping that session secure, remembering a few settings, and processing payments safely through Stripe. We do not use cookies to show ads, build advertising profiles, or follow you around other websites.

3 The categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for Tabulox to work. They sign you in, protect your session, and secure payment flows. You can’t turn these off and still use your account.

Functional

Remember choices you make — like staying signed in or your interface preferences — so the product behaves the way you left it. Turning these off is harmless but slightly less convenient.

Analytics

We use a small amount of privacy-respecting analytics to understand which features get used, so we can improve them. This data is aggregated and not used to track you across other sites.

4 Cookies we set

The exact names can vary as we update the product, but these are the cookies you can expect:

CookiePurposeCategoryRetention
SessionKeeps you signed in after you log in. NecessarySession, or up to 30 days with “Remember me”
SecurityProtects sign-in and form requests against cross-site attacks. NecessarySession
PreferencesRemembers settings such as light or dark mode. FunctionalUp to 12 months
__stripe_midSet by Stripe for fraud prevention during payments. Necessary12 months
__stripe_sidSet by Stripe for fraud prevention during checkout. Necessary30 minutes

5 Third-party cookies

A couple of trusted providers set their own cookies so their parts of Tabulox work:

  • Stripe handles payments and sets the fraud-prevention cookies listed above. See Stripe’s own cookie and privacy notices for details.
  • Google / Firebase powers sign-in, including signing in with Google, and may set cookies as part of authenticating you securely.

We don’t control these providers’ cookies beyond choosing to use their services for these specific purposes.

6 Managing your cookies

You can view, delete, and block cookies through your browser settings — every major browser lets you clear cookies or refuse new ones. Helpful guides live in the settings for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

One trade-off: if you block strictly necessary cookies, you won’t be able to sign in or take payments, because those features depend on them. Blocking functional or analytics cookies is safe — you’ll just lose a little convenience.

7 Your choices and Do Not Track

Because we don’t run advertising or cross-site tracking, there’s no ad profile to opt out of. Where the law requires a consent banner for non-essential cookies, we’ll show one and honor your choice. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal; we aim to respect these where they apply to how we operate.

8 Changes to this policy

As the product changes, the cookies we use may change too. When that happens we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For anything that materially affects your privacy, we’ll give clearer notice where appropriate.
