Use Tabulox to run your own legitimate business and get paid for real work. Don’t use it to break the law, defraud anyone, harass your clients, or attack our systems. The sections below spell that out.
1 Who this applies to
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who accesses or uses Tabulox — account owners, invited team members, and anyone acting on their behalf. It works alongside our Terms of Service; where this policy is stricter about a specific behavior, this policy controls. By using Tabulox, you agree to follow it and to make sure people on your account do too.
2 Use Tabulox in good faith
Tabulox is built for consultants, freelancers, and small agencies billing their own clients for legitimate work. You agree to use it lawfully, honestly, and for your own business. In particular, you agree that:
- The work you quote and invoice reflects real goods or services you actually provide.
- You have the right to bill the clients you add and to charge the amounts you charge.
- You comply with the laws that apply to your business, including tax, invoicing, and consumer-protection rules in your jurisdiction.
3 Prohibited activities
You may not use Tabulox to:
- Break any law or regulation, or help anyone else do so.
- Commit fraud, including issuing fake, inflated, or deceptive invoices, or billing for work that was never agreed or delivered.
- Launder money, evade sanctions, or move funds connected to criminal activity.
- Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent who you are or your relationship to a client.
- Sell or bill for goods and services that are illegal where you or your client operate.
- Infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
4 Payments and Stripe
Payments in Tabulox are processed by Stripe, and your use of payments is also governed by Stripe’s agreements and restricted-business rules. You agree not to:
- Run a business or sell anything that Stripe prohibits or restricts.
- Test stolen or unauthorized cards, or process payments you know to be fraudulent.
- Use invoices or payment links to disguise the true purpose of a transaction.
- Deliberately trigger chargebacks, or use Tabulox to avoid them dishonestly.
We may pause or limit payment features on an account to comply with Stripe, card-network rules, or applicable law.
5 Contacting your clients
Tabulox can send quotes, invoices, and payment reminders on your behalf. When you use those features, you are responsible for how your clients are contacted. You agree to:
- Only message people you have a genuine business relationship with, about real invoices.
- Follow anti-spam and electronic-communications laws that apply to you and your clients.
- Keep reminders truthful and professional — no harassment, threats, or abusive collection tactics.
- Honor reasonable requests to stop non-essential messages.
6 Data and privacy
You decide what client and business data you put into Tabulox. You agree that you have the right to upload that data and to process it through our service, and that you’ll handle your clients’ information responsibly. Please don’t store data you have no business reason to keep — for example, full card numbers (Stripe handles those) or sensitive personal data unrelated to billing.
7 Security and system integrity
To protect the platform and everyone on it, you may not:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Tabulox without our written permission.
- Access accounts, data, or systems you’re not authorized to reach.
- Introduce malware, or interfere with the normal operation of the service.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data using automated means outside our published interfaces.
- Circumvent rate limits, usage limits, or any access controls.
Keep your own credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
8 Content and intellectual property
You’re responsible for the content you create in Tabulox — quotes, proposals, line items, logos, and attachments. Don’t upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to use. Don’t use Tabulox to store or distribute malware or unlawful material.
9 Fair use of the service
Tabulox is a shared service. You agree not to place an unreasonable load on it, resell or sublicense access without our permission, or use it in a way that degrades performance or reliability for other customers. Where a plan includes specific limits, those limits apply.
10 Enforcement
If we believe an account violates this policy, we may take action proportionate to the issue — from a warning, to limiting a feature, to suspending or terminating the account. For serious cases such as fraud, abuse, or threats to the platform or its users, we may act immediately and without prior notice. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we’ll let you know what happened and why.
11 Reporting abuse
If you see something that looks like misuse of Tabulox — a fraudulent invoice, abusive messages, or a security concern — please tell us at abuse@sparkleintelligence.com. For general questions, the contact page is the fastest way to reach us.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Tabulox evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, let account owners know. Continuing to use Tabulox after an update means you accept the revised policy.
